Chris has been with the firm for over 25 years based in Invercargill. As a Partner Chris collaborates closely with the senior management team working to deliver proactive services to all Findex clients. Chris’s expertise is in accounting and business advisory and he strives to deliver superior client service and simple, practical commercial advice for his clients. His extensive knowledge includes experience in financial and management accounting; cashflow, budgeting and forecasting; feasibility and new business start-ups; business restructuring and valuations; estate, tax and succession planning. Chris is involved in a number of sectors including fishing, exporting, automotive, retail and construction.

With more than 20 years’ experience, Chris helps business owners grow and manage their businesses, from those starting out, right through to succession. He particularly enjoys working alongside clients and being a key part of their decision making. Chris assists clients across a broad range of industries, from construction and property to retail, manufacturing, tourism and personnel services.

Craig is a Taxation Advisory Partner at Findex Invercargill and specialises in all aspects of GST and income tax. His experience spans a broad range of tax areas from sole traders to corporates. Craig’s specialty areas are cross-border tax issues, including tax residence, foreign investment funds, foreign trusts and double taxation agreements, property, agriculture, and GST issues. He is also a co-author of the Staples Tax Guide and GST in New Zealand.

Craig joined Findex from his role as Tax Director of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants (now Chartered Accountants ANZ). This role primarily involved leading the Institute’s direction and input on tax policy and overseeing the Institute’s Tax Advisory Group.

Donna has been with the firm since 1996 and over this time has gained extensive knowledge and experience across a broad range of small to medium sized businesses. She utilises our specialist industry experts to assist businesses when the need arises. Donna has a thorough understanding of computer packages and various other software options and can help match the correct system to clients needs.

Erin, a multiple masters track cycling world champion, draws on her sporting discipline and over 20 years of experience in accountancy to provide committed service and well considered advice to clients. Possessing a broad technical knowledge and using a practical approach Erin works with a wide range of clients. Her specialty areas are small and medium sized business and the primary sector, including agribusiness and fisheries.

Judy has been with Crowe Horwath for more than 14 years and enjoys working with clients from a wide range of businesses and backgrounds.

Melissa is an experienced Human Resources Consultant with over 20 years working in management, human resources and as a health and safety specialist. Currently managing the Human Resources and Health & Safety Consulting team, Melissa has held key management roles with reputable New Zealand companies which lead her to specialise in human resources and health and safety across all levels.

Michael leads the Crowe Horwath Agribusiness Corporate and Syndicates Group for the South Island, and is a born and bred Southlander. Michael’s client base specialises in agribusiness and he is confident and passionate about the future of farming in New Zealand. He specialises in the dairy and irrigation sectors, supporting his clients predominantly in equity syndication and corporate areas.

Murray advises a wide range of rural clients including deer, sheep and beef and dairy farmers as well as agricultural contractors. Murray has years of experience in accounting and business services and has been involved in investigating business proposals, negotiating purchases and restructures, succession planning and general agribusiness advice.

Neil is the Managing Partner of South and Head of Agribusiness, Neil leads over 100 staff with a focus on delivering absolute value and expertise to clients. He has 20 years experience in accounting and advisory services, particularly agriculture, manufacturing, estate & succession planning, corporate finance, business advisory, accounting, fishing, building and construction.

Rod provides a complete range of accounting and advisory services across a broad range of industries including construction and agribusiness. He works with a cross-section of clients, from independent building firms, local franchisees of group-home builders and major commercial construction firms, to mum-and-dad farms and large agribusinesses.

Anna is CA qualified and has over 20 years of audit and assurance experience. Anna has vast experience in all financial reporting frameworks in New Zealand and works with a broad range of entities in the South Island.

He finds the most rewarding part of his role is making a real difference in his clients’ lives through long term partnerships that help clients achieve their long term and lifestyle goals. Doug works with a team of experts to co-ordinate the five key areas of your financial affairs being: financial planning, investment management, insurance, tax and estate planning.

Gavin has been with the firm since 2000, during this he has gained experience in a wide range of small to medium size businesses including retail, tourism, property investment, construction and can provide advice on a wide range of needs for these sectors. His knowledge is in the agribusiness sector and he has significant experience with the sheep, beef & dairy industries along with the support sectors such as contactors and transport industries.

Gavin has spent his time in a client facing role in his team, along with ensuring the accuracy of work completed by others within the firm. He works to get the best result for clients and to ensure all their requirements are met.

Janet is an experienced human resources specialist with over 25 years working in human resources and health and safety roles. She has a broad knowledge and a practical approach to working with clients on providing solutions.

Janet joined Findex in 2022 and is currently a Senior Human Resources Consultant. Janet has held Senior Human Resources roles within Southland and New Zealand companies.

Larry is passionate about entrepreneurship. He specialises in providing considered and timely advice to all businesses, including the primary sector. Larry focuses on providing clients with clear and accurate financial reporting and connecting them with the right software. He enjoys using these modern software tools to support the next generation of business owners to start and grow successful enterprises.

Larry works across three offices Invercargill, Te Anau and Gore.

Taking a holistic approach Mark, works with clients to set sound business goals and advance strategies to achieve them. Backing this up, he works closely to monitor progress via robust a reporting framework, based around cloud accounting platforms to allow for high levels of collaboration with clients and their wider teams. Mark has a varied client base ranging from Farming and Agricultural Support Industries, Hospitality, Air BNB and General Business. After starting with the firm as a Trainee in 2003, Mark became a Partner of the firm earlier this year and spreads his time between the Invercargill, Winton and Te Anau offices. Away from work, Mark is a born and bred Southlander, growing up in Central Southland. Mark is married with three young children, all girls, a keen sportsman and a passionate sports supporter.

Specialising in software and systems, strategic and business growth advisory, cashflow forecasting and Virtual CFO services, Michael aims to guide business owners and work with them to better understand how their business operates and what the numbers mean.

With experience in the private enterprise and Chartered Accountant environments, Michael is a proactive member of the Findex team, working across the Invercargill and Gore offices.
