With a passion for the water and an interest in alternative forms of sustainable public transport, Jeremy Ward, Managing Director of East by West Ferries, made his dreams a reality in late 2021 with the launch of the first electric ferry service in the southern hemisphere.
Overcoming a ‘tough’ first decade in business, Jeremy persisted through the challenges to make East by West Ferries a viable business. Then in 2018, he assembled a team to start work on the new electric ferry. Now, the technology developed by Jeremy and his team is being sought after by companies throughout the world including North America, Asia and Australia.
