New Horizons Preschool

Frustrated by the early learning options available to their own children, Norma and Nick Panagakos started New Horizons Preschool from their living room. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia educational project in Italy, Norma and Nick built a learning environment that encouraged belonging, participation and collaboration. 18 months later, their waiting lists were full.

In 2006, Norma and Nick opened their first New Horizons Preschool campus. Driven by their passion for advocating for early childhood education and for children’s participatory rights in both schools and the wider community, New Horizons flourished. In 2017, they opened their second campus and have their sights set on opening an infant school next.
